Keeping It Cool in Grant County

In Grant County, we put the “cool” in cooling off. With two splishy and splashy places to play, we have thrilling summer heat relief that is worth the drive. Here we take a “deep dive” into two of our favorite places to soak up the summer.

Splash House Water Park, Marion

This is a place where you can get cool and stay cool! Three super-duper water slides will thrill you and chill you, all the way to the final splash down. Bob up and down in the wave pool as the tide rolls in and out. When it is time to relax, drift along the lazy river or have a refreshing seat in the watery pool lounge.

Your little ones will love the cushioned play pad with slippery slides, sprinkley climbers and a large bucket water drop. Whoosh! Lifeguards are stationed around the pools keeping a watchful eye while your wet ones play with wild delight!

There are plenty of lounge chairs for catching some rays, while shady spots and umbrellas provide sun protection. Rent a cabana to have lunch and for rest breaks. There are plenty of concessions to keep you fueled. Dry off and play sand volleyball.

With so much to do here, consider staying for a two-day family getaway or weekend trip!

Turner Park Splash Pad, Gas City

The new Turner Park will have many amenities including a splash pad, which recently opened during the first phase of construction. Free to use, this splash pad features sprays and sprinkles from delightfully drippy launch sites. The centerpiece is a large, suspended bucket that precariously fills and delivers a drenching dump to those inside the splash zone. Your family will love this cool, cool-off spot.

Coming soon, the Turner Park will offer a pavilion with picnic tables, an outdoor fitness center and eventually, a community center with an indoor pool and gym.

It is always cool and classic in Grant County. But, in the summertime, it is especially cool at the Splash House Water Park and the Turner Park Splash Pad. Beat the heat and stay cool in Grant County.
