May 6^th  Upland Serve Day! This is a large-scale service project ($10,000 worth of funding) which will have two shifts: 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. In collaboration with the town council, community gardens team, and local park organizations to complete a significant amount of work: new mulch and border for playground at Upland park, installation of 3 disc golf goals at Upland Park, establishing a community garden, and cleaning up the Upland trial. Ultimately, it is our hope that the entire town of Upland would come together to serve our shared spaces and beautify our community. In addition to service projects, NearSpace Launch will be launching a high-altitude balloon into the upper atmosphere at 11:00 am in celebration of Space Day, which all are welcome to attend.
