The stage version of the bestselling classic novel. A Monster Calls details the story of Conor O’Malley, a 13-year-old boy who is dealing with his mother’s illness. Conor has the same dream every night, ever since his mother first fell ill. But tonight is different. Tonight, when he wakes, there’s a monster at his window. It’s elemental, a force of nature, and it wants something from Conor. It wants the truth. Conor’s mother’s impending death hangs over the bulk of the story, and Conor must explore his own emotions through stories to find peace in her passing and how he feels about it.
