Hidden Lake Resort could be considered a camper’s hidden gem. Over 143 sites offer water and electricity. Bring your tent and stake your claim among the 13 primitive sites. Then, explore all the recreation adventures in and around the six-acre lake. Fishing, swimming, pedal boat & kayak rental, five playgrounds, sand volleyball, horseshoe pits, basketball court, game room, updated shower house and coin-op laundry will make your stay action-packed and convenient. If that’s not enough, the additional activity schedule will fill your days with fun. Forget something? No worries! The newly renovated camp store has everything you need for a great time! It’s pet friendly, so bring your best buddy.

Mar-Brook can be remote and relaxed or action-packed.

Mar-Brook Campground, Gas City

This campground is large featuring 200 sites with water and electricity and 115 sites with water, electricity and sewage. Pull through and primitive sites are available, too. Choose a remote and relaxed experience or plug into the action and amenities. Build your own adventure with river or lake fishing, hiking trail, swimming pool, arcade, snack bar, two playgrounds, horseshoe pit, basketball, volleyball and miniature golf. Plus, check out what’s going on at the recreation building – there’s always a Bingo game, Karaoke or some excitement happening there. Camper rentals, on-site laundry facility and a camp store will make your stay oh so convenient!

Mississinewa Reservoir, Peru

Stay and play at the Mississinewa Reservoir. With over 400 sites and family cabins, this is more than a campground. It is an outdoor recreation destination! The 1,000-acre lake offers excellent fishing, boating with four launch ramps, waterskiing, swimming and a beach, including beach volleyball. On grounds, you can fill your days with basketball, horseshoes, frisbee golf, hiking trails and wildlife, picnicking/shelters, playgrounds, plus a full schedule of planned activities. Salamonie Reservoir, Andrews

This location features sixty ponds and a 2,855-acre lake. From primitive to full hook up, there are over 250 sites and cabins available. The long list of amenities includes an amphitheater, basketball, horseshoes, bridal, hiking and biking trails, boating with launches and marina, waterskiing, canoeing/kayaking, fishing, picnicking and playgrounds. Ice fish in the Winter then explore our snowmobile and cross-country skiing trails. Come for four-seasons full of fun!

This gated campground offers a long, gravel pull-through section, wooded sites and a stocked 11-acre lake. New owners have made recent improvements, including new utility hook-ups and regraded sites. This location also features an upgraded bath house, miniature golf, arcade, playground, boat rental and basketball. But mostly, this campground offers a relaxing and peaceful getaway with the perfect balance of comfort and nature.

Camping Tips and Tricks

  • Use tortilla chips or Doritos as kindling to start fires.
  • Crack eggs ahead of your trip and store in a water bottle for easy breakfasts.
  • Burn sage in your campfire to repel mosquitoes.
  • Freeze water in jugs to use in your coolers. As they melt, you’ll have fresh drinking water.
  • Fill jugs with water heated on your fire. Bring into your tent for heat.
