Haley Anderson
Executive Director
Meet Haley
Haley Anderson is the Executive Director of the Grant County Visitors Bureau and is passionate about sharing what makes Grant County so special. When she’s not at work, you’ll find her enjoying time with her family, running, coaching at Taylor University, or exploring everything the county has to offer.
Haley’s favorite hidden gems are the county’s trails, which connect to so many unique places. “You can explore the whole county by trail,” she says, and it’s one of her top recommendations for visitors.
Her go-to local meal is the apple and brie panini from Payne’s, but for an extra-special treat, when out-of-town friends come to visit, she makes sure they stop by the historic Hostess House for both the rich history and the delicious food. To round out a full day with visitors, she would take them to Los Amores for dinner and, for dessert, enjoy ice cream at Ivanhoe’s.
Seasonally, she loves attending Mama Pearson’s spring and fall markets, strolling through Matter Park with her son, and cozying up with a winter coffee before enjoying the Walkway of Lights.
Haley believes there’s always something new to discover here—from unique shops like Patent Pending in Upland to beautiful florals at Hometown Petals in Gas City. Haley’s heart is truly rooted in Grant County and the community that makes it shine.
Abby Wilkinson
Marketing Coordinator
Meet Abby
Abby Wilkinson is the Marketing Coordinator for the Grant County Visitors Bureau and a lover of all things fun on social media. She’s passionate about highlighting the unique places, events, and people that make Grant County a true treasure.
Her favorite hidden gems are the county’s parks—from Matter Park’s accessible playground to Upland’s splash park, pickleball courts, and Marion’s new splash pad. “This county is filled with outdoor opportunities,” she says, and she loves encouraging both locals and visitors to enjoy them.
When it comes to events, Abby can’t choose between the Fourth of July festivities and the Christmas parades. “July 4th in Grant County is magical, and Christmas feels like living in a Hallmark movie,” she shares.
A perfect Saturday for Abby might include a walk on the Cardinal Greenway with coffee from Lola’s, time at the library with her sons, a stop at Ivanhoe’s, dinner at Tomahawk (with cheese curds, of course), and a game of pickleball under the lights.
In her downtime, Abby enjoys local flavors with friends, reading, volunteering with nonprofits, and spending time with her family. She believes Grant County shines brightest through its people, seasons, and stories.
