Leave CommentDave and Lenny are the very friendly and courteous owners of The James Dean Galllery. They welcome everyone that comes into their store with a smile. The Gallery is a must see when visiting Fairmount, Indiana.
I love visiting the gallery. I’ve been there and returned several times through the years. What a wonderful ‘wrinkle in time.’ Everyone is very friendly, too.
I am 70 and my son is 27 and between us we have visited many, many places. One that keeps drawing us back (5 visits from the UK in the last 5 years) is the James Dean Gallery. There couldn’t be a better advert for Fairmount, for Grant County, or for Indiana, than the welcome one gets from David Loehr and Lenny Prussack. The exhibits, the uniqueness of the place, and most of all the setting all combine for me to say: ‘If you visit Indiana and don’t spend time at the Gallery, then you have missed a treat’ Bert and Adam Bretherton (Manchester, England)
The first time i stopped at the James Dean Gallery was in 1991. I met David Loehr and Lenny for the first time that year. They seemed very nice like a lot of business owners. They were having a small get togeather after closing that night and David invited me. That was my first hint that this was not really just a business.I mean who invites you to an after party after first meeting you? lol Over 20 years later they are two of my best friends. I highly recommend you stop by the gallery but beware that you may have to come back at least yearly. Its the center of the universe for us deaners……….
